Doug Johnson

Doug Johnson is a consumer advocate in support of people who are struggling with debt.

His introduction to the Debt Relief Industry began ten years ago, when he came to the rescue of a friend who was being terrorized by creditors. As a result of his research into the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Doug retained an attorney who filed a lawsuit against his friend’s seven creditors.

Her decisive victory in court against her creditors spawned a deluge of calls and inquiries that compelled Doug to continue with his research into the collection laws, which led him to uncover the truth about the traditional, commonly-known debt relief options such as Debt Consolidation, Debt Settlement and Bankruptcy.

As host of the popular radio talk show, “The Truth About Debt Relief”, Doug strives to dispel the myths and misinformation that permeates the Debt Relief and Credit Restoration industries. He also reveals outside-the-box remedies and strategies that are highly effective in assisting people who are struggling with all forms of debt, including student loans and mortgages.

Often referred to as a visionary, Doug has been able to recognize and expose unlawful, fraudulent and deceitful activity on behalf of creditors. His discoveries have rescued many homeowners from foreclosure, and cardholders from control of credit card banks.

In his writings and lectures, Doug points out that every debtor will choose and implement one of nine options in order to satisfy debt obligations. The theme of Doug’s work for the past 10 years has been to educate debtors as to downside of each option, in order to protect them from false claims made by Debt Relief Salespeople.

It has also been Doug’s goal to diffuse misleading information disseminated by popular financial/debt/credit advisors, whose advice is biased by influence from government, educational institutions, large corporations and the mainstream media.

Doug’s global appeal is based on his ability to provide truthful, unbiased information as an educator, as opposed to a salesperson.
